Hello Mighty Warriors!
Welcome back to another adventure in God’s truth and His amazing love for you.
Today, we’re stepping into the Mighty Warrior Observatory, a place filled with stars, stories, and lessons that shine bright in our hearts.
So find a comfy place to sit, open your imagination,
and get ready… because Ayden has something important to share.

Inside the Observatory, the kids were working on their projects.
Kylie sketched different planets in her notebook.
Max spun a model of Saturn so fast the rings looked like a golden blur.
Dakota painted tiny galaxies that shimmered as the Observatory lights danced across them.
And Dylan leaned over the telescope, adjusting knobs with laser focus.

“There we go,” Dylan said quietly. “Fun fact… some of the stars we see are so old, their light started traveling before any of us were born.”

Dakota smiled at him. “It’s like looking at God’s artwork from long, long ago.”

Everything felt peaceful… until the door opened.

Ayden walked in, holding his sketchpad pressed tightly against his chest. His steps were slow, and the usual spark in his eyes was missing. Kylie noticed immediately.

“Ayden,” she asked gently, “are you okay?”

Ayden pulled out a chair and sat down. “I… need to tell you all something that happened yesterday,” he said quietly. “And it’s not something I feel good about.”

Max stopped spinning the planet model and leaned in. “We’re listening.”

Ayden explained that he had been working on a drawing for days. His best one yet. Every detail perfect. Then his little sister Ari came running in, excited to show him her picture. She sat at the table and accidentally knocked her cup over, spilling her orange juice. All over his drawing.

Kylie’s eyes softened. “That must’ve felt awful.”

“It did,” Ayden said. “And I yelled at her. Really loud. She cried. Then Mom came in, and I snapped at her too.”

Dakota lowered her paintbrush. “I’m sorry, Ayden. That sounds really hard.”

Ayden nodded. “Later that day, when everything was quiet, I felt terrible. I kept thinking… why do I get angry so fast? Why do I mess up so much? Maybe… maybe I’m not meant to be a Mighty Warrior at all.”

The group grew quiet.

Ayden opened his bookbag and pulled out his Bible. “I opened my Bible yesterday, not really knowing where to read… and this was the first verse I saw.”

He read slowly:
“Do you want to be a mighty warrior?
It is better to be known as one who is patient
and slow to anger.”

Max let out a low breath. “Wow… that verse was talking right to you.”

“It really was,” Ayden said. “But when I read it, I didn’t feel patient. I didn’t feel strong. I felt… the opposite of a warrior.”

Just then, Mr. Jenson stepped forward with his warm smile and his old, well-loved Bible tucked under his arm.

“Ah, Ayden,” he said gently. “When God shows us a place we need to grow, He never asks us to fix it by ourselves. The Holy Spirit inside you helps you grow from the inside out.

“Now listen carefully, Mighty Warriors,” Mr. Jenson continued.
“You are not made new because you behaved better.
You are not made new because you stopped making mistakes.
And you are not made new because you tried really hard.

“You are made new because of Jesus.
Because Jesus took your place on the cross.
Because He paid for sin once and for all.
God welcomes you and loves you — not because of what you do — but because of what Jesus already did for you.”

Ayden’s eyes widened just a little.

“That’s why growing comes after,” Mr. Jenson said warmly.
“You don’t grow so God will love you.
You grow because God already loves you.”

Mr. Jenson smiled and opened his Bible.
“This verse comes from the book of Hebrews, chapter four, verse sixteen,” he said. “Listen to this.”

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will receive His mercy,
and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

The Observatory seemed to respond.
The stars in the sky shimmered brighter, and a warm, gentle light filled the room.

Dylan looked up. “The stars are beautiful. They remind me that God is here to help us.”

Dakota nodded. “Yeah. The first verse shows the challenge… and this one shows God’s help.”

Mr. Jenson smiled.
“Exactly. Being a Mighty Warrior doesn’t mean we never make mistakes. It means coming to God just as you are and letting Him help you grow. Think of it like putting on a big shirt that says ‘I Am Made New in Christ.’ God gives it to you right away when you become saved, and every day you grow into what those words really mean.”

Ayden lifted his eyes toward the glowing ceiling.
“So… I’m not disqualified?”

“Not even close,” Kylie said. “This is where warriors begin.”

Dylan smiled. “We’re with you, Ayden. Warriors grow together.”

“Every warrior has a first lesson,” Max said with a grin.
“And the learning and growing… that’s the fun part. We get to discover who we are in Christ, and how amazing God is to us.”

Ayden’s shoulders relaxed as a small smile spread across his face. He looked up at the glowing sky above him, as if seeing it with brand-new eyes.

Ayden wasn’t afraid of his mistakes anymore.
He knew he was learning.
He knew he was growing.
And most of all… he knew he could come boldly to God for grace and mercy every time he needed it.

See, Mighty Warriors, Ayden learned that growing in God is not something we do on our own.
Because of Jesus, God is with us — helping us learn, helping us grow, and meeting us with grace along the way.
And our mistakes never change how much God loves us.

And that, Mighty Warriors…
is where Ayden’s new journey begins.
